Here and There
Horse Country USA – Aubrey was once surrounded by peanut farms. Now those farms
are horse ranches and can be seen down every stretch of highway. However, still today,
Aubrey celebrates the Peanut Festival the 1st Saturday in October. Enjoy the parade, live
music, vendors, food and fun for everyone at this all day event.
Just down the street ‐ Pilot Point is where Bonnie and Clyde attempted to rob the bank
on the historical square. Bonnie and Clyde Days is the second Saturday in October,
hosting a classic car show, Bonnie and Clyde re‐enactments, and fun for the whole
family. This is the same location where the movie was filmed.
Around the Corner is Lake Ray Roberts, Texas Parks and Wildlife Greenbelt Corridor and
Sharkarosa Exotic Wildlife Ranch
Across the creek, over the hills and through the woods – Denton is an eclectic 2‐college
town with an old time charm. Great shopping and eateries on the historical square and
fun things to do throughout the year:
1. the Arts and Jazz Festival in April,
2. the North Texas State Fair and Rodeo in August.
3. the Classic Car Auto Extravaganza and the Denton Blues Festival in September.
4. UNT, TWU and WaterWorks Water Park are within 20 minutes from the ranch.
Texas Motor Speedway, Six Flags, Hurricane Harbor, Cowboys Stadium and
Texas Rangers Ballpark are less than one hour from the ranch.

"Our kids look forward to a yearly trek way out to the ranch in Aubrey…it just feels like your far away somewhere! We always love being there!Freedom Fest in the summer. Christmas Roundup in the winter. And a family retreat somewhere in the middle. Rancho de la Roca rocks!"
